Rabbits & Four Leaf Clovers

Size: 20” x 16” Oil on 7/8″ Gallery Wrapped Canvas
The original painting along with fine art prints will be available on Sunday, June 15th, at 9:00 am CST

This painting features a pair of rabbits sitting at a windowsill, paws resting gently on a terra cotta pot overflowing with four-leaf clovers. Morning light spills through the window behind them, and the scene is full of quiet, leafy warmth—potted plants trailing from all directions, soft shadows catching along their fur.

When I first painted it, one of the rabbits was holding a small watering can. The idea was that he was tending to the clovers—kind of whimsical, kind of sweet. It made sense at the time.

But after letting the piece sit for nearly a year, I realized the watering can just didn’t feel right. It distracted from the stillness, the simplicity. So I went back in and made a few changes.

I painted over the watering can, added more clovers to fill out the pot, and adjusted a few highlights and shadows here and there. Small things – but they brought the painting into balance. Now, the scene feels more focused. Quieter. Like the moment it’s capturing was always meant to be this way.

Sometimes, all a piece needs is a little breathing room.

Cultivating Luck

Size: 20” x 16” Oil on 7/8″ Gallery Wrapped Canvas
The original painting along with fine art prints will be available on Wednesday, July 10th, at 7:00 pm CST

I’m excited to share my latest painting, featuring a pair of rabbits diligently using a watering can to nurture a terracotta pot containing four-leaf clovers. This piece symbolizes creating your own luck, reminding us that the magic we seek often comes from our own efforts and care. Bathed in golden light streaming from a window, the scene is suffused with a gentle mist, creating a hazy, dreamlike atmosphere. The rabbits, focused on their task, are set on a table where a few drops of water on the table catch and reflect the light, adding a touch of spontaneity to the scene. Surrounding the main scene are other plants, creating a vibrant environment that emphasizes growth and nurturing. I hope this piece brings a smile to your face and reminds you that luck often comes from the love and care we put into the things we cherish.

Until next time, may your days be filled with creativity, joy, and a bit of luck. Stay tuned for more updates on my upcoming works!

Campfire Raccoons

campfire racooons

The original painting along with fine art prints will be available on Tuesday, July 2nd, at 7:00 pm CST

I’m thrilled to introduce my latest painting which captures a heartwarming scene of a family of three raccoons gathered around a campfire. This piece is particularly special to me, as it evokes feelings of nostalgia and the simple joys of childhood memories spent with family. This painting was inspired by my own cherished memories of camping trips with family. There’s something incredibly nostalgic about sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories under a starlit sky. These moments, filled with laughter and warmth, are often the highlights of our childhoods.

I wanted to capture that sense of wonder and joy in this piece. The excited young raccoon symbolizes the innocence and enthusiasm we all felt as children, while the watchful parents represent the comforting presence of family. I paid particular attention to the lighting and color palette in this painting. The cool-toned blue background contrasts beautifully with the warm glow of the campfire, creating a balanced and harmonious composition. The hazy atmosphere adds a touch of magic, making the scene feel almost dreamlike.
