Apple & Paring Knife

Size: 12” x 9” Oil on 1/8″ Arches Oil Paper Panel
The original painting along with fine art prints will be available on Sunday, May 18th at 9:00 am CST

This painting features a single Granny Smith apple next to a paring knife. I was drawn to the crisp green of the apple and the way the light reflected off the metal blade. It’s a simple setup, but one that allowed me to focus on form, texture, and contrast. I also didn’t mind enjoying the apple when I was done with it! With peanut butter of course… 😉

Be sure to check out the time-lapse process video on YouTube to watch it all come together!

Apple Trio

Size: 16” x 12” Oil on 1/8″ Legion Stonehenge Oil Aluminum Panel

I’m excited to share my latest oil painting, which features a trio of Granny Smith apples. Two apples rest on a white porcelain plate, while a single apple sits off to the right, creating a charming composition.

Granny Smith Apples

This piece features a transparent cellophane bag tightly packed with vivid green Granny Smith apples. The allure of the “Cellophane” song from the movie Chicago was too strong for me to resist to add to my process video, (see the video in the listing in my shop). Consequently, I’ve come to the conclusion that embarking on my 100th viewing of the movie might be inevitable! 😜
