Giraffe Pair

I absolutely love to paint but my other passion is wildlife photography.  I love being in the wild with a camera at hand in the presence of animals in their natural habitats.  So for this piece I decided to bring two of my favorite things together!  I hope y’all enjoy!

I photographed these giraffes in Kruger National Park, South Africa.  Fun fact, the giraffe’s “horns” are actually referred to as ossicones.  You can usually distinguish between a male and female giraffe as the male ossicones are a bit bald on top while the females have a tuft or hair 😉
